AERATION/SEED

Overview

Aeration & Seeding is done to help your lawn to grow in thicker and healthier. It lets in nutrients into the soil while providing new growth. Aeration is done with a machine that rolls its tines (mini spikes) into the ground, breaking through thick layers of thatch on top of the soil. Overseeding will fill in these holes and any other thin spots on your lawn to help create a unified layer of grass.

Watering Info

For best results: Water the seeded areas for 20 to 30 minutes, continue for 2 weeks. Afterwards, you may return to your regular watering routine.

Mowing Info

For best results: Avoid mowing until the grass has germinated (~ 2 weeks). Once the grass reaches 3-4 inches, return to your regular mowing routine.

Aeration

Step 1: Perforating soil

Aeration is the process of perforating the soil. The process involves a machine with tines that penetrate the thatch layer, allowing nutrients in.
